Senior Instructor

Annie has been involved in speech and debate for over a decade. She currently coaches part-time for the Cornell University and Northwestern University speech teams. In college, she was the President of the Bradley University Speech Team and won the National Forensic Association National Championship in Impromptu Speaking. She has spent many summers as part of the Public Address Lab staff at the Bradley Summer Forensics Institute, where she coached several high school students who later advanced to final rounds at IHSA and NSDA.



Senior Instructor

Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California-Santa Barbara (UCSB), a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Master of Arts degree from Wake Forest University and a Master of Arts degree from Concordia University Chicago.

He is the Head Debate Coach and a Social Studies teacher at Niles West High School, where his teams have achieved incredible success including securing the 2018 Illinois State Debate Championship and runners-up honors at the 2018 NSDA National Tournament. 

In the past decade, he has also been a lead instructor at various summer debate institutes, including but not limited to:
University of Michigan Debate Institute,
Northwestern University Debate Institute​
Stanford University National Forensic Institute.

He is excited to teach debate to young students!



Senior Instructor

He was the director of the national championship-winning debate program at Glenbrook South High School. In his 9 years at GBS his teams achieved tremendous success, including winning the 2009 and 2014 national championship, a 2nd place finish in 2013, and a final 4 run at the 2016 Tournament of Champions. 


Prior to coaching at GBS, Jon was the director of debate at Sheboygan North High School (WI) for three years before coaching for a year at Whitney Young Magnet High School in Chicago.

Jon was the recipient of the NDCA's 2012 Rising Star Award as well as the 2011 Acolyte Award, given to the top high school assistant coach in the country.  Jon is a two diamond coach in the National Speech and Debate Association and two-time recipient of the Ted W. Belch Debate Coach of the Year Commendation. 

He has previously instructed at debate institutes hosted by Dartmouth College, the University of Michigan, California-Berkeley, and Marquette.


Senior Instructor

Sumeer has been teaching competitive debate since 2011. He has a Bachelor's in Philosophy from Emory University. From 2011 to 2015, he coached the Buffalo Grove High School debate team in Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum. During this time, he coached multiple finalists and a Lincoln-Douglas State Champion in 2013. Since 2016, Sumeer has been coaching youth debate and competition classes for grades 4-8, including multiple finalist appearances from his students. Most notably, he has coached Youth Voices VP Zachary Wu, the 2021 ICDA State Champion.


He is thrilled to help shape the future thinkers of America!

Senior Instructor

Justin, a graduate of Northwestern University, has coached competitive speech since 2016. During his high school speech career at Scarsdale High School in New York, Justin was 2016 NSDA Champion in Original Oratory, a 2-time New York State Champion in Extemporaneous Speaking, and a 3-time finalist at the prestigious Tournament of Champions, also in Extemp. In college, he was the 2018 AFA National Champion, to go alongside 5 national final round appearances. Additionally, Justin captured 2 state championships and 2 Big 10 titles as captain of Northwestern’s speech team. As a coach, he has coached dozens of state and national finalists in multiple speech events. Youth Voices is beyond thrilled to welcome Justin aboard to our coaching staff!
