YOUTH VOICES X STUDY HUDDLE
Youth Voices is partnering with the Study Huddle to offer an exciting public speaking and debate program for beginners. This course will focus on building confidence in public speaking through the development of foundational debate skills.
Our instruction will be focused on the three key areas: speech structure, refutations, and speaking confidence. A special emphasis will be placed on universally applicable analysis and critical thinking skills. Throughout this program, students will learn how to research and prepare for a topic, and by the end of this course they will be able to give a speech on it.

About the Coach
Nick Chen is a sophomore at American University studying International Relations and Data Science. As a Congressional debater, he was captain of the Conant High School Team, where he won the 2021 IHSA State Championship, placed 3rd at the 2020 Sunvitational, and qualified to the Tournament of Champions twice. His students have reached national semifinal and final rounds at the middle and high school level. His students represented 25% of the Congress finalists of the 2022 Middle School Harvard Tournament.
